Cityside Schools began in 1990 with a nursery and a primary school in a quiet corner of Sagamu. In 2006 the secondary school followed. The idea behind it has never changed: school works best when teachers and parents work together.
From Kawefunmi to Cityside
Cityside Schools, formerly known as Kawefunmi Schools, was founded in 1990. It started with the nursery and primary schools, and the secondary school opened in 2006. All three sit together on one serene campus at Plot 1, Paddy Arikawe Avenue, G.R.A. Sagamu, Ogun State.
Our facilities are built so pupils are not only comfortable but focused, from the computer laboratory and music studio to the sports fields and boarding houses.

Chief & Chief (Mrs) Paddy Arikawe
“Every child is your child.”
Both founders are graduates of the University of Lagos. Chief Paddy Arikawe majored in education administration, and Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Arikawe in guidance and counselling. Together they have been the main prop and strength of this ever-progressive institution.
Chief (Mrs) Elizabeth Arikawe is the proprietress and leads the day-to-day running of the school, while Chief Paddy Arikawe is the catalyst who gets things going. He previously brought Mayflower Junior School, Ikenne, into the limelight. She was a versatile teacher, vice principal and principal of reputable schools in Ogun State for over twenty years, and her maxim is simple: every child is your child.
