Since 2019, the Cityside Digital Bootcamp & Hackathon has turned school holidays into two weeks of building, flying, coding and leading. More than 300 young people have taken part, and children from other schools are always welcome.

2019
Where it all began
Cityside opens its first Digital Bootcamp to students from JS1 upwards, a summer of computers, coding and problem-solving on campus.

2021
Registration goes online
Families can now sign up for the bootcamp directly from the school website, opening it to students from schools across Sagamu and beyond.

2023
Drones over the courtyard
Participants in the now-familiar blue bootcamp T-shirts take to the school courtyard for hands-on drone sessions with their facilitators.

2025
The 6th edition: AI takes centre stage
18 – 29 August 2025. Generative and agentic AI, virtual reality, drones, coding and game development, leadership class and the hackathon, with the programme now past 300 participants since launch.

The 7th edition
17 – 28 August 2026. Another two weeks of building, coding and leading on the Cityside campus.
